Make Brown Bread With Raisins in Your Air Fryer

This is a simple brown sugar and molasses bread that is great with dinner, for dessert topped with whipped cream or ice cream, for breakfast with or without butter, or for a simple snack with cheese. The bread is sweet but not cloyingly so. It's a dark bread thanks to the molasses as well as to the whole-wheat flour in the batter. I like the bread because it's simple to mix up in minutes and bakes in 15-20 minutes in the air fryer, meaning the bread can be ready quickly. Go for it! You'll want to add the bread to your "make often" list.

Air Fryer Brown Bread With Raisins -- Makes 4 Mini Loaves

2/3 cup of dark brown sugar

1/2 cup of molasses

1 large egg

1/4 cup of canola oil

1 teaspoon of baking soda

3/4 cup of milk

2 cups of whole-wheat flour

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/4 cup of raisins

Spritz four mini loaf pans (about 3 x 5-inches) with non-stick cooking spray. In a medium bowl or measure, combine the brown sugar, molasses, egg, oil, soda, and milk. Stir in the flour and salt until combined. Fold in the raisins. Divide the batter among the prepared pans. Put two pans in your air fryer basket, put the basket in the air fryer, set the heat at 320 degrees, and bake the breads for 16-20 minutes or until a pick inserted in the center of a loaf comes out with no wet batter attached. Remove the loaves from the air fryer basket and set them aside to cool. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining two pans of batter. Let the loaves cool in their pans for 5-10 minutes before removing them to cool completely.
