Weekend Cookie: Air Fryer M&M Cookies

The recipe I'm posting today is for a simple, quick, tasty treat--M&M cookies. No, you don't have to use M&Ms in them. You can substitute chopped up nuts, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, etc.. You get the idea. The cookies are adaptable. They also are fast to make and delicious. Why are they weekend cookies? Well, besides being a treat for the weekend, the cookies won't last long because the recipe only makes a small batch. That means you can enjoy your cookies and not have them around too long, tempting you to have just one more, well, maybe two or three....Enjoy!

Weekend Cookie: Air Fryer M&M Cookies

Air Fryer M&M Cookies -- Makes about 15

1/2 cup of melted butter

1/4 cup of sugar

1/4 cup of brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla

1 large egg

1 1/4 cup of flour

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

1 cup of M&Ms (I used "Spring" M&Ms, which are pastel colored, and crunched some of

them up)

Cut small pieces of baking parchment to fit your air fryer basket. In a medium bowl, combine the butter, sugars, vanilla, and egg well. Stir in the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda until just combined. Stir in the M&Ms. Place several 1 1/2 tablespoon scoops of dough on each piece of parchment, spacing the dough mounds at least an inch or so apart. Flatten the dough mounds to about 3/4-inch thick. Place one dough-topped piece of parchment in your air fryer basket, put the basket in the air fryer, and air fry the cookies at 320 degrees for about 10 minutes. Set the cookies aside to cool. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining dough. Alternatively, you can bake the cookies in the regular oven at 350 for about 10 minutes.
